A Little About Me:
I graduated from Carson-Newman University with a bachelors degree in Special Education. I teach students in grades 5th to 8th who struggle primarily in the area of math reasoning. I am currently working towards becoming highly qualified in middle school math. I have a niece and nephew that I adore!
Interests & Hobbies:
When I am not busy preparing for my lessons and doing all the paperwork required of a special education teacher, I really enjoy going hiking, reading something not related to paperwork, listening to my music (mostly country and more upbeat songs), going to the movies, playing with my dogs, and spending time with loved ones.
Favorite Quotes:
"Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid" -Albert Einstein
"Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn." -Benjamin Franklin
“The biggest mistake of past centuries in teaching has been to treat all children as if they were variants of the same individual, and thus to feel justified in teaching them the same subjects in the same ways.” -Howard Gardner
